Hack Gallery Using .MP4 File — Advanced Social Engineering Attack | Xploit Poison |
Hello guys, welcome to XploitPoison.com!
So today, we will learn about one of the most interesting topics in cybersecurity, called Gallery Access Without Installing APKs, Using URLs and Gmail Access.
In this demonstration, we'll explore how sending just an MP4 file can be used in social engineering attacks and how this powerful hacking technique works.
Disclaimer: Xploit Poison demonstrates real-world hacking concepts for educational and cybersecurity awareness purposes only. Practice only in authorized labs or on systems you own or have explicit permission to test. Learn ethically, practice safely, and use your skills to protect others.
Some people may claim this is impossible or illegal, but in this demonstration, I’ll focus on testing security using my own system and resources.
Watch carefully, understand the risks, and be cautious of suspicious files or links—even if they come from your friends. Always protect your privacy and never allow unauthorized access to your personal data.
Just follow these steps.
1. Download the ZIP File: Click the download link provided below. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the download option, then download the ZIP file to your device.
Hosting and Deployment: Host these files on any hosting platform you prefer. I’m choosing GitHub to store the project files and linking it to Vercel for easy deployment.
Backend and Database: We also need additional resources to build the client-side application. I’m using Firebase Realtime Database (RTDB), a real-time NoSQL database service provided by Google, to store, sync, and retrieve data between the client and the server.
1. Configure the WhatsApp API Sender: Open the WhatsApp API sender and enter your client’s phone number, including the country code. For example:
919341107469(India:91+ phone number). You can also add multiple phone numbers if needed. Next, enter your website URL, such ashttps://example.com, to configure the sender.1. Write a Short Message: Type a short, convincing message in the message box, such as: “Hey, watch this movie!”
1. Send the Message: Click the “Send All” button to send the message to all configured recipients.
User Opens the File: The recipient receives the file and clicks it to open it in their web browser.
Choose the DCIM Folder: The user clicks the “Download and Watch” button. If the browser requests a folder or file location, the user can select the DCIM folder to access their photos and videos, subject to browser permissions and user consent.
Start File Processing: Once the user grants folder access through the file manager or browser picker, the demo begins processing the files they have authorized. The admin dashboard displays permitted photo previews, while Firebase stores only the data explicitly approved for the demo.
The Hidden Risk: The user thinks they are opening an MP4 movie, but a malicious file or website may attempt to exploit a vulnerability or trick them into granting access to personal files. This is why you should never blindly trust unknown media links. An MP4 file alone does not automatically grant gallery access.
